Imagine citizens of Hillsboro, from all walks of life, working together to build a better future.

Imagine Hillsboro began in May 2015 as a grassroots, not-for-profit, organization that was created by a group of engaged citizens, with the assistance of the MAPPING the Future of Your Community program, part of the Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs at Western Illinois University. Imagine Hillsboro strives to engage and mobilize volunteers to revitalize our city through community planning and economic development. Imagine Hillsboro is made up of several committees: Parks and Recreation (with two subcommittees: Central Park and Bikes/Trails), Technology, Events and Festivals, Education, Volunteer, and the Bicentennial Committee, all working in tandem towards a common goal of creating a better future for Hillsboro and its citizens.
