Showing up at 7:40 AM on a day OFF to train our teachers? That’s true leadership. πŸ‘βœ¨

A huge shoutout to our Hudson High School Peer Helpers who teamed up with our district Mental Health Coordinator, Sally Piernot, to present to staff on su***de prevention. They walked the team through what peer support looks like in action and detailed the critical steps when referring a student for care.

These students put in 20+ hours of training each year on mental health, grief support, and self-care. Last year alone, they logged 157 hours (9,420 minutes!) supporting their peers.

We couldn’t be prouder or more grateful for their heart, dedication, and impact on our community. Thank you, Peer Helpers! πŸ’™

🌐 World Wide Web, meet our smart (and safe!) digital citizens! πŸ’»βœ¨

This past week, our K–5 students leveled up their digital citizenship skills to learn how to navigate the online world safely, responsibly, and wisely! πŸš€

Our young learners are practicing how to:
πŸ”’ Protect Personal Info: Identifying what information is safe to share online and what needs to stay private.
🧠 Think Critically: Becoming independent, smart, and questioning users of online media.
❀️ Spread Digital Kindness: Learning how to build a positive and safe digital footprint.

We’re so proud of these future-ready learners for building healthy tech habits that will last a lifetime! πŸ›‘οΈ

🧼 Busted! Are your hands really clean? 🦠✨

With cold and flu season around the corner, our elementary students got a glowing, hands-on lesson in healthy habits!

One of our nurses, Sara Felland, visited classrooms for a special storytime all about germs. But she didn't stop there: she brought in a black light and special powder to show how quickly invisible germs can hitch a ride from person to person! πŸ’‘πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

Our students were completely amazed (and a little shocked!) to see "germs" light up right before their eyes. It’s safe to say handwashing time just got a lot more thorough! πŸ‘πŸ§΄

Huge thanks to Nurse Sara and all of our incredible staff who go above and beyond to make learning healthy, safe, and unforgettable for our kids.

Not all superheroes wear capes in Hudson! πŸš’β€οΈ

We have been so fortunate to welcome our local fire department into our elementary buildings this school year. They gave our students a hands-on look at what firefighters do, helping our youngest learners see that behind all that big equipment is just a friendly neighbor ready to help.

Thank you Hudson Fire Department for taking time out of your busy day to educate, inspire, and protect our students and families. We are so grateful for you! πŸŒŸπŸ™Œ
