We're teaming up with our friends at the Huntington Beach Host Lions Club for a food drive drop-off, and everyone's welcome.

📅 Sat, Oct 24, 8:30 to 11:30 AM
📍 Robyne's Nest, 7602 Talbert Ave, Unit F, Huntington Beach

Every can and box helps fill school break food bags, so local students have meals and snacks while school is closed. You don't need to fill a whole bag. Just pick one or more items from our list. Please skip the glass jars.

Can't make it Saturday? Donations are due by Fri, Nov 6 for Thanksgiving break and Fri, Dec 4 for winter break. Part of a business, school, club or neighborhood group? There's still time to run your own drive.

Thank you, Lions, for showing up for our students again and again!

We also presented Kim with smart glasses, which were funded by our Margery Vallancey Fund. This fund provides equipment to Orange County residents who are visually impaired.

Our guest speaker was Terri Quinlan, who gave an overview of Operation Song. This group does incredible work supporting our veterans.

We raise funds throughout the year with events such as Crabfest and Oktoberfest. Please support our fundraisers so we can continue to provide funds to local non-profits.

Huntington Beach Host Lions Club held our first meeting of the Lion year last night. Our new president Monica Monica Statz Miller chaired her first meeting, complete with the usual hyjinks.

We had an excellent speaker, Carmen Urenda, from the California Lions Friends in Sight and she gave us an update on the free vision screenings and eyeglasses their organization provides.

PDG Scott Quinlan presented a pair of smartglasses funded by our Marjorie Vallancey Memorial Scholarship.

Lion Trinon Carter belatedly received his Lions Clubs of District 4-L4 sparkplug award.

A good time was had by all!
