Getting the harvest done matters. Getting home safely matters more. Keep these electrical safety reminders in mind:

⚡ Watch for overhead power lines, especially when moving tall equipment or working after dark.
⚡ Keep equipment at least 10 feet away from power lines.
⚡ If equipment contacts a power line, stay inside, call 911, and wait for the utility's all-clear. Only exit if there's an immediate danger, such as fire.

Stay alert, take your time, and make safety a priority this harvest season!

Tree trimming crews will be working southwest of Wolsey over the next couple of weeks.

Dakota Energy's contractor, Friest Tree Experts, will be clearing overgrown vegetation near power lines as part of our ongoing right-of-way maintenance. Branches that grow too close to power lines can cause outages, especially during high winds and storms. Regular trimming reduces these risks and improves crew access for maintenance and repairs.

You may notice crews and equipment working along power lines or near your property during this time. We appreciate your patience as this work is completed!
