Got a pit stop at IND this Memorial Day weekend? Here's some travel tips to help you make record time from your house to your gate:
🏎️ Plan ahead - check your flight status with your airline before heading to IND and arrive at least two hours before your flight.
🏎️ Bring your REAL ID or other acceptable identification in order to fly.
🏎️ While you can't take a winning bottle of milk through security, there's plenty of race memorabilia you can bring. Visit TSA's What Can I Bring? page for the full list.
🏎️ Looking for a fast lane? Opt in to TSA PreCheck Touchless ID. Current TSA PreCheck travelers can upload valid passport information to their airline profile.
🏎️ Most of all, pack your patience! We expect this weekend and especially Monday to be extra busy. Think of this as an endurance race, not a sprint.

Whether you're new to the Circle City or back home again in Indiana, we hope you have a winning weekend! 🏁

Raising the bar, figuratively and literally!

Today we joined community and business leaders to "top out" The Westin Indianapolis International Airport by placing the highest beam on the roof of this new terminal-connected hotel. Now that the structural phase is complete, we'll work on shaping what customers will experience within - sweeping views through the curved glass façade, the rooftop lounge, the spacious rooms, inspiring local art, and a seamless connection to the terminal.

The hotel opens at the end of 2027 - we can't wait to welcome you inside!

This year marks the 25th anniversary since September 11, 2001. IND is collecting personal reflections from our community about what life looked like for them in the days following 9-11. Some of these stories will be shared online and at the airport’s annual Patriots Day event in September. All stories will be preserved for future generations through a digital archive in partnership with the Indianapolis Public Library.

We invite you to include a written reflection, photo, or video at the link in bio.

As the Indiana Repertory Theatre moves into the last week of its powerful production of Come From Away, we invited some of their team to add their personal reflections to the collection.

Featuring the stories of:
▪️ Anna Barnett, Education Manager
▪️ Benjamin Hanna, Margot Lacy Eccles Artistic Director
▪️ Devon Ginn, Director of Inclusion & Community Partnerships

Come From Away runs through May 10. It's a story about community and resilience in the face of tragedy and we hope you get a chance to see it!

At IND, we don't just make a first impression, we make a lasting impression. As comes to a close, we wanted to shine a spotlight on one of those impression-makers: Kim Thomas, our ADA Coordinator. Kim helps travelers with special needs navigate the often-overwhelming sights, sounds, and activities of an airport and does it all with a joyful laugh, warm smile, and kind demeanor that instantly puts others at ease.

Kim is being recognized tonight as a Visit Indy Rose Awards nominee.
