🚒 Iowa Park Fire Department Cadet Training Night! 🚒

Our Iowa Park Fire Department Cadets spent yesterday evening getting hands-on training and learning some important firefighter fundamentals!

The Cadets worked on:

🔥 Pump Operations — learning the basics of operating and managing a fire apparatus pump.

💦 Hose Advancement — practicing proper hose handling, deployment, and advancement techniques.

🚒 Hydrant Safety & Operations — learning how to safely locate, connect to, and operate a fire hydrant.

🧑‍🚒 Turnout Gear — learning about their protective gear, what each piece does, and why properly wearing and maintaining it is so important.

We are proud of the dedication and enthusiasm these young men and women continue to show! Our Cadet Program provides an opportunity for youth to learn valuable firefighting skills, build teamwork and leadership, and become more involved in their community. They all enjoyed their training as you can tell.

Interested in becoming an Iowa Park Fire Department Cadet? Cadets are 14–17 years old.
