The Mississippi Outdoor Stewardship Trust Fund (MOSTF) extends its sincere appreciation to Mat Lipscomb of DeSoto County for his four years of dedicated service on the MOSTF Board of Trustees. As one of the seven original members appointed in 2022, Mat played an instrumental role in laying the foundation for what has become an impactful and successful conservation grant program for the State of Mississippi.

Appointed by Lieutenant Governor Delbert Hosemann in July 2022, Mat brought decades of successful business leadership, valuable expertise, and thoughtful insight to the development and continued growth of MOSTF. His contributions have been instrumental during the organization’s formative years. Mat also served with distinction as Vice Chairman of the MOSTF Board from July 2025 through June 2026, further demonstrating his commitment to the organization’s mission and success.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mat is a dedicated and passionate wildlife conservationist who embraces outdoor recreation and enjoys exploring unique outdoor experiences around the world. His personal passion for conservation and the outdoors reflects the very spirit and purpose of MOSTF.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mat for his leadership, dedication, and lasting contributions to the Mississippi Outdoor Stewardship Trust Fund. We are truly fortunate to have benefited from his knowledge, experience, and vision during these important formative years. His service has helped establish a strong foundation for MOSTF’s continued success in supporting conservation, natural resources, and outdoor recreation opportunities throughout Mississippi.

We wish Mat continued success and all the very best in his future endeavors, and we thank him for the lasting impact he has made on MOSTF and the State of Mississippi.

Jordan Project Tour and Board Meeting October 12 - Cancelled

Due to the impending tropical weather forecast and unknown future impacts, our MOSTF Board Meeting and Project Tour Event on October 12 at the Jordan Nature Preserve in Vancleave, MS has been cancelled.

The MOSTF Board Meeting has been moved back to our usual location in the Woolfolk State Building on Monday October 12, @ 1:00 pm.

We appreciate the willingness and hospitality shown by our host, Mrs. Cissy Jordan and Wildlife Mississippi to host this meeting. We hope that Jordan Nature Preserve and all of our conservation partners in the Gulf Coast Region are spared any damage and remain safe.

As we say in The South, "Prepare for the worst and hope for the best."
