Today, two of our Wayne Township Fire Department members had the opportunity to tour the Red Riding Hood Rescue Project’s wolfdog sanctuary right here in our township.

We want to thank them for welcoming us, taking the time to show us around, and sharing the incredible work they do caring for these animals. It was a great opportunity to learn more about their mission and see firsthand the dedication that goes into providing these animals with a safe place to call home.

We appreciate the opportunity to connect with organizations right here in our community and look forward to continuing to build that relationship.

Thank you again to the Red Riding Hood Rescue Project for having us out. We truly appreciate what you do for our community and these animals!

Today, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division (BRICS) visited Wayne Township Fire Department to perform our annual radio service and maintenance.

Our radios are a critical part of every emergency response. From coordinating firefighters and EMS crews to communicating with dispatch and other responding agencies, reliable communication helps ensure everyone can work together safely and effectively when seconds matter.

Routine maintenance helps keep our equipment ready for the moments our community needs us most.

We would like to thank the Butler County Sheriff's Office Communications Division for their continued support and dedication to keeping our first responders connected and our community safe!

Rob has put in the time, hard work, and dedication to reach this milestone, and we couldn’t be prouder of his accomplishment. We look forward to seeing him continue to learn, grow, and serve our community!

Help us congratulate Rob on this well-deserved achievement! Great job, Rob!

Today, our department was dispatched to an open burn that had gotten out of hand. Thankfully, crews were able to get the fire under control and prevent it from spreading any further.

We would like to remind everyone that Ohio’s open burning restrictions are in effect during the months of March, April, May, October, and November between the hours of 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

Please make sure you are familiar with the open burning regulations before starting any fire. What may start as a small, controlled fire can quickly become dangerous, especially with dry conditions and changing winds.

A big thank you to Madison Township Fire Department for assisting our crews with extinguishment today. We greatly appreciate the mutual aid and teamwork!

Please think before you burn, stay safe, and help us prevent unnecessary fires.
