This weekend, we welcomed our first-ever Kindle High School students and families for High School Orientation!
Returning Kindlers and new students came together to learn more about what they can expect this fall, meet members of our high school team, and begin building the relationships that will shape our inaugural high school community.
Launching a high school is about more than opening a new grade level. It's about creating a space where young people can deepen their sense of purpose, pursue their passions, and take increasing ownership of their learning and their future.
We are incredibly excited for what lies ahead and grateful to all of the students and families who joined us this weekend. The countdown to the first day of Kindle High School has officially begun!
🔥 High school starts here.

Science class was extra sweet today 🍦
After working incredibly hard on the NJSLA-Science assessment last week, our 8th graders got to celebrate with a hands-on ice cream making lab. Students explored the science behind freezing point depression while mixing, shaking, and (most importantly) taste-testing their creations.
At Kindle, we believe learning should be challenging, meaningful, and fun. Today was a great reminder that science can be all of those things at once.

We are so proud of our 8th graders and all they have accomplished this year!
As our students prepare for high school, we’re excited to celebrate the many paths they are pursuing and the opportunities ahead of them. Kindle students were admitted to a wide range of excellent programs, and we know they will continue to thrive wherever they go.
We’re especially excited that many members of the Class of 2026 will be continuing their journey as part of Kindle High School’s founding 9th grade class this fall. 🔥
Congratulations to our students and families on this exciting next chapter!

Thursday, May 14 is Hudson Gives!
Hudson Gives is Hudson County’s annual day of giving, and this year, Kindle is raising funds to support both our middle school program and the launch of our high school.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 to help expand opportunities for Kindlers through hands-on learning experiences, student supports, innovative programming, and the continued growth of our school community.

This weekend, we welcomed our incoming high school team for a full Design Day as we prepare to launch Kindle’s 9th grade.
Across the day, teachers collaborated to shape the student experience from the ground up — digging into curriculum, designing projects, and building a shared vision for the culture we want to create together. There was a strong focus on meaningful, hands-on learning and ensuring that what we build reflects our core values of purpose, individuality, and equitable community.
Just as important, it was a chance to build as a team. Relationships, trust, and a sense of collective ownership are what make great schools possible, and this group is off to a powerful start.
Excited for what’s ahead as we bring this vision to life with our first high school class this fall.

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible educators who make Kindle what it is. 💙
From guiding student-driven projects to building a community grounded in purpose, individuality, and equity, our teachers show up every day with care, creativity, and commitment.
Our Kindlers got in on the celebration by creating heartfelt cards to share their appreciation, and we’re so grateful to our PTO for generously sponsoring meals to recognize our team this week.
To our teachers: thank you for all that you do, seen and unseen. Our school is stronger because of you.

History made! Last week, Kindle’s co-ed volleyball team secured their first win. 🔥
From the first serve to the final point, this was a full team effort. Communication, hustle, and trust showed up in every rally. We’re proud of the way this team is growing—not just in skill, but in how they show up for one another. 🏐 Wish them luck on their game today!

Huge news for Kindle!
We've been selected for the Playlab AI Lab Schools inaugural cohort — a two-year program with schools across the country who are reimagining education from the ground up. More agency for students. More innovation in how we learn. More collaboration with educators who care deeply about getting this right.

Our Track & Field team hit the ground running at their first meet last week!
From sprints to distance, jumps to relays, our athletes showed focus, effort, and a whole lot of heart. For many, it was their first time competing, and they stepped up with confidence and determination. For others, it was a chance to build on their experience and push themselves even further.
More than anything, it was great to see our team supporting one another, celebrating small wins, and representing Kindle with pride.
