💙 COMMUNITY CHECK-IN 💙

At MCRC, we see every day how small acts of kindness can make a big difference. That's how community changes everything!

So we're curious...

If you had an extra $100 to help someone in our community, what would you do?

🍎 Buy groceries for a family
💡 Help pay a utility bill
🎒 Purchase school supplies
🍽️ Provide a meal
🏠 Support someone experiencing homelessness

Or tell us your own idea in the comments!

There are no wrong answers, we'd just love to hear how you would make a difference. 💙

Food is Power!

MCRC continues to make strong progress in its Cooking Class series, led by Chef Kayla Hall. The program focuses on equipping senior participants in the Wyandotte County area with the knowledge and skills needed to prepare healthy meals at home.

During this week’s session, participants learned how to prepare a low-sodium taco bake. Each participant is provided with the ingredients used in class, allowing them to recreate the meal at home and reinforce their learning.

We are currently one-third of the way through this series and are encouraged by the high level of engagement and enthusiasm among participants.

Your support of MCRC is fueling these programs!
