Networking with community partners in Kansas City, Kansas
On Tuesday I met with a community partner I first met at a fair in September. I brought her a little bag with a keychain, gardenia oil, hand sanitizer, and one of my pens, plus my pamphlets, business cards, and flyers.
In less than an hour we talked about so many local resources. I am super shy, and I am pushing myself to get out there anyway, because if you don’t network, you don’t find the help your community is already trying to give you. Don’t be afraid and get out there. Mobile notary at 8pm in Mission, Kansas
A client found me on Google and called last minute. Two school documents they needed first thing in the morning, or their kid couldn’t go back to school. No bank open. No UPS open. Just me.
First time I’ve done one this late, and I was a little nervous, but it was quick, everybody went home happy, and I got home tired but happy. Who else has needed a notary after everything else closed? Link in my bio to book.

Before my full-time job, I stopped at a facility I always go to, notarized a power of attorney, and brought the staff a little Halloween basket I made last night. They loved it, and so did my client.

A simple park ceremony with their kids beside them. Then I returned their signed license to the Johnson County courthouse myself, so they never had to worry about the paperwork.

Wedding officiant in Kansas who goes the extra mile

Tomorrow I am officiating two weddings, one in Merriam and one in Paola, and tonight I am putting together the little keepsake boxes I make for my couples. Walmart clearance boxes, a little gardenia oil, mints, my card in the back, and their names and the date on top. You do not have to spend a lot to be remembered. It is the little details.

Mobile notary in Kansas City, Kansas 💛

A Thumbtack lead from yesterday became a Saturday evening signing.

Private transaction, no title company involved. The buyer and the seller, both at the table, and me making sure the paperwork was done right.

Today a family at a senior facility needed a medical power of attorney signed, and it could not wait. It was raining here in Kansas, but we were working. I went to them, we took our time, we even danced a little, and their paperwork is done.

Mobile notary in Kansas City, Kansas 💛

About a month ago I went to a senior facility to notarize for an elderly couple, and the wife had forgotten her husband’s driver’s license. She doesn’t drive. Without that ID, his document could not be signed, and they were stuck.

So I drove her across the state line to her own facility, picked up the license, brought her back, and we finished the signing. No extra charge. Of course not.

I serve a lot of seniors and hospital patients, and I lead with compassion and patience, because a signature is never just a signature. Sometimes it is a family’s peace of mind.

Somebody else notarized it WRONG. 😳

I was dropping off an apostille I facilitated for a client, and the notarization under it had not been done correctly. An apostille built on a bad notarization can be rejected, and my client never would have known until it was too late.

I figured out the fix and handled it, and he was so happy he tipped me well. 🥹 This is why the details matter, and why I check everything twice.

And yes, he got my goodies too: gardenia oil, a thank you letter, keychains and pens. My clients remember how I make them feel.
