Week 5 of our “Sing the Bible” home study focuses on Micah 6:8 (found in Week 42 in the book).

Make sure to listen to the Slugs and Bugs version of this verse on all streaming platforms, and then join Miss Amber for a short lesson about it!

Today’s discussion has families choosing someone they can pray for and show mercy to throughout the week. That can be hard to do sometimes- especially if you live with that person (aka a brother or sister!). But thankfully God shows us mercy as we learn to show mercy to others. 💗

Today begins our journey through “Sing the Bible” by Randall Goodgame (creator of the band “Slugs and Bugs)!

This week is prep week, which includes getting the book (if you want it). You can find where to order “Sing the Bible” from over at slugsandbugs.com.

You can also enter to win a copy of the book by commenting below a place you could read “Sing the Bible” together as family. On Friday, September 18th at 5pm EST, the contest will be closed. A winner will then be chosen through a random drawing from the comments section.

We are looking forward to singing through the Bible together over the next year- hope you will join in the fun!

Don’t forget to have your elementary kiddos bring their tickets tomorrow to church (Sunday, August 2nd)- the WCC Kids Mini Store will be open!

Elementary students can shop in the Fellowship Hall right after church is over.

Preschool students can come upstairs too! If they say the Bible verse they have been working on, they will earn a special prize (and don’t worry- someone will be in place to guide them as they say it).

The current preschool Bible Memory Verse is “With all my heart I will try to obey God” (Psalm 119:10).

Can’t wait to see you all there!
