State of Mississippi vs. Clifton McGruder

On November 3, 2026, a Jones County jury returned guilty verdicts for Second Degree Murder and Attempted Murder against Clifton McGruder after a 5 day trial for the 2024 shootings at Premier Sports Bar & Grill. The jury also voted that McGruder spend life in prison for both charges. ADA Katie Sumrall presented the case to the jury, and they returned guilty verdicts after just over 3 hours of deliberating. Thank you so much to all witnesses and staff that worked on this case and helped bring justice to the victims and their families.

Do we have something BIG for October or what?!?!

Keith’s Superstores is proud to partner with Red Bull to support the Domestic Abuse Family Shelter (DAFS) this October. For every 8 oz Red Bull sold at Keith’s, we will donate 50¢, and Red Bull will match our donation with another 50¢, making $1 donated for every 8 oz can sold!

DAFS is dedicated to helping survivors of domestic abuse and their children and pets by providing emergency shelter, counseling, case management, victim advocacy, education and other support services. DAFS serves 11 counties across the Pine Belt and Southeast Mississippi, helping survivors work toward a safer, violence-free future.

So grab your favorite 8 oz Red Bull at Keith’s throughout October and help us turn every can into support for survivors. ❤️💙

After years of faithful service to the Laurel Police Department and our community, K-9 Kastor has officially retired.

Alongside his handler, Lt. Blancett, Kastor served with loyalty and courage, helping keep Laurel safe. We are grateful for his years of service and thankful that he will spend his well-earned retirement at home with the partner who has been by his side every step of the way.

We wish K-9 Kastor a long, happy retirement filled with plenty of rest, treats, and time with Lt. Blancett!
