Happy Halloween from all of us here at Warren SWCD! We hope everyone has a fun and safe day tomorrow. The fun kicked off this week here at our office with special visits from some of our area families. We love to see all the creative costumes! And of course the staff loves to get in on the fun too. Even our ambassador turtles donned their best Bat and Bowser costumes!

The staff and board of supervisors here at Warren SWCD were incredibly honored to celebrate all of our amazing partners that have helped bring the Urban Conservation Learning Lab to life! We celebrated with a Partner Appreciation event this week to showcase all of the contributions and support that has gone into creating this dynamic learning area and green space for our community. We also planted and dedicated a swamp white oak to our Warren County Ohio Board of Commissioners for supporting conservation in Warren County. Thank you so much to all of our partners in this ongoing endeavor!

Happy !

The Warren County Board of Commissioners was proud to present a proclamation recognizing Storm Water Awareness Week to the Warren County Soil & Water Conservation District.

This week is an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our waterways, preventing pollution, and being good stewards of our natural resources. Every small action we take—from keeping litter and pollutants out of storm drains to practicing responsible land and water management—can make a difference in the health of our community and environment.

Thank you to the Warren County Soil & Water Conservation District for your continued dedication to conservation, education, and protecting Warren County’s water resources. 💧🌎

The Izaak Walton League is an environmental group that has dedicated its time and resources to protect the environment and its natural resources. Protecting rivers and streams is a large goal of the organization, and one method of attack is through their Salt Watch program.

Through the program, anyone can become a volunteer and order a free salt test kit to test the waters of local streams for salt concentration. That data can then be added to the online data base on the Izaak Walton League website. This simple test can have a huge impact on the protection of the environment! See link below for how you can become a volunteer for the Salt Watch program today! https://www.cleanwaterhub.org/maps/saltwatch
