Buchanan County Fall Environmental Collection and Recycling Day was a success today. The Cumberland Plateau Regional Solid Waste Authority would like to thank the citizens of Buchanan County for taking advantage of this Free event. A special thank you to Danny Davis for coordinating the event and all the volunteers as well as the Buchanan County Litter Department, Keep Buchanan County Beautiful board members, Buchanan County Sanitation Department and the Buchanan County Board of Supervisors. Buchanan County Fall Environmental Collection Day October 30, 2026 at Walmart Parking Lot in Grundy from 10 am to 3:00 p.m. Please bring your unused household cleaners, pool chemicals, paint, paint thinners, small batteries, pesticides and herbicides.

In addition, Paper and Document shredding will be conducted on site. If you have a box or bag of documents that need shredded please come have them destroyed.

Tire shredder will be onsite for those Buchanan County citizens wishing to get rid of old tires laying around your house. Maximum of 15 tires per home.

For more information on items that can be brought to the event, please contact Austin Looney at 276-936-6106 or Danny Davis at 276-498-4403. No Propane cylinders will be accepted at this event.
