⏰ Falling back is for the clocks… not you! Let’s leave the falling to the time change and keep you off the stretcher. 😉🚑

Tonight at 2 a.m., clocks turn back one hour to 1 a.m. Most phones will handle it themselves. Your microwave will need emotional support and someone who remembers which buttons to push. 😂

While many enjoy an extra hour of rest, our overnight crews and dispatchers will be working an extra hour to keep our community safe. Thank you for your dedication and for being there whenever you’re needed. 💙

Enjoy your extra hour, watch your step, and have a safe Halloween! 🎃

🎃 Witches, goblins, and ghouls, oh my! Tonight, our streets will be full of Halloween fun—and we all have a part in keeping it safe! 👻

🚗 Slow down, put your phone away, and watch carefully for trick-or-treaters. Excited little monsters may cross unexpectedly, and costumes can make it harder to see or be seen. Give everyone extra time and space!

🍬 Keep kindness in your candy bowl, too. Some trick-or-treaters may be adults with disabilities who enjoy the same Halloween magic as children. Disabilities aren’t always visible, and someone’s appearance doesn’t tell you their story. Whether someone is tall, doesn’t say “trick or treat,” or needs a little extra time, welcome them with patience and a smile.

Let’s leave the scares to the decorations and make tonight safe and welcoming for everyone! 🧡

Happy Halloween from all of us at Lehighton Ambulance Association! 🚑🎃

It has been a minute since we have posted about our EMT class but don't worry the students have been hard at work. Last week they transitioned from Medical Emergencies to Traumatic Emergencies. Here are a few photos from our class tonight practicing some of the skills they were taught during lecture! If you are interested in becoming an EMT, stay tuned for information regarding our Spring 2027 class being shared soon, or as always you can contact Matt Ruch Course Coordinator at 610-377-5155 ext 205 or [email protected].

October 28 is National First Responders Day. 🚑🚒🚓🎧

When someone calls for help, they may never know what the person answering that call has set aside to be there.

It may be a holiday with family, a child’s game, a full night’s sleep, or a meal that goes cold. It can mean long shifts, hours of training, and carrying the weight of difficult calls long after the workday ends.

Behind every uniform—and every voice on the phone or radio—is a person with a family, feelings, and a life outside of serving others.

Today, Lehighton Ambulance Association thanks our EMTs, Paramedics, Firefighters, law enforcement officers, and dispatchers. We also recognize the families who share in those sacrifices and support them through it all.

To our LAA team and our fellow first responders: we see your dedication, we appreciate your sacrifices, and we are proud to serve alongside you.

To our community: Here for you. Every call. Every day. ❤️

🩷 You bought a shirt. Together, we made a difference close to home.

Today, we had the privilege of presenting the Cancer Support Community of Greater Lehigh Valley with a check for $2,203.60—the full amount raised from the 202 shirts sold through our Pink Initiative. This donation was given specifically to support Carbon County residents and families facing cancer, keeping the impact of your generosity here in our community.

Cancer care reaches far beyond appointments and treatment. It also means helping someone feel like themselves, supporting a family through uncertainty, and offering a welcoming place to learn, connect, and feel understood.

From nutrition education and a free, volunteer-staffed wig salon to a free lending library with resources for patients, families, and children, the Cancer Support Community offers support for everyday life. They provide classes and spaces for therapy and connection, with virtual attendance options that help make support more accessible.

Behind every diagnosis is a person with a life, a family, and people who love them. They are more than a patient, and caring for them means supporting all the pieces of life that cancer touches.

We also want to thank two businesses that helped bring this initiative to life:

🩷 L.E. Williams Printing, LLC generously donated the thank-you cards attached to each order, ensuring their cost did not take away from the donation.

🩷 Oak Hollow Designs made our shirts and worked closely with us to get every detail just right and donated the printing screens. We appreciate their collaboration and understanding of the mission behind this project.

To everyone who purchased a shirt, shared our posts, or helped along the way: thank you. Your support helps keep places like this open, welcoming, and ready to help our neighbors when they need it.

This is Pink with a Purpose—and you helped make it possible. 🩷
