PCM is Lincoln’s primary homeless shelter, providing emergency & transitional housing to men, women & families. We serve 3 homecooked meals a day.

Our Help Center provides free housewares & clothing to low income families to prevent homelessness. We have earned 4 out of 4 stars with Charity Navigator.

What a blessing Building on the Rock has been to the Mission! 🪨🔨

We are so thankful for their generosity in repairing the back loading dock at our shelter. Their hard work has made it safer, more functional, and looking so much better!

Even more amazing, they completed the entire project completely free of charge. We are incredibly grateful for community partners who use their time, talents, and resources to make a difference at People’s City Mission.

Hearts and Hands group from Westminster Presbyterian Church shared their time and talents with People’s City Mission this past week! ❤️

This wonderful group donated hand-knitted and crocheted hats, scarves, and the cutest little bears for the children we serve. We are so grateful for community members who use their talents to show love and care for our neighbors in need. Thank you, Hearts and Hands, for making a difference one stitch at a time!

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, support survivors, and remind those experiencing abuse that they are not alone.

At People’s City Mission, we believe everyone deserves to live with safety and hope for a better future. This month, we encourage our community to learn the signs of domestic violence, support survivors, and help create an environment where people feel safe asking for help.

Thank you to the UNL Honors group for spending time with People’s City Mission! ❤️

Our Volunteer Coordinator, Josh, had the opportunity to share about the Mission, the services we provide, and how we serve individuals and families experiencing homelessness and poverty. The group also took time to make and donate tie blankets for our guests!
