Looking for something arty to do this coming Thursday evening...

Join John Moore of Smith College, Thurs. Oct 8th at 6 PM at the Longmeadow Adult Center, 211 Maple Rd, Longmeadow, MA for a discussion on the Impressionist Movement and how it changed the art world. Impressionism, a radical 19th century art movement in France, rejected traditional academic painting. Characterized by visible brush strokes, open compositions and the shifting effects of natural light, artists painted everyday subjects outdoors (en plein air) rather than inside a studio.
