Working toward a violence free community Alternatives to Violence is a Loveland based, nonprofit organization that is working to help victims of violent crimes.

We help hundreds of victims every year by providing the following services: 24 hour crisis intervention, advocacy & support, support group, community education, emergency services, information & referrals, transition living program, and a safehouse for recovery. All services are confidential and free of charge.

Despite fewer homicides overall, Colorado domestic violence deaths increased in 2025. A new state law will require police to identify, provide resources to victims at risk of being killed. If you, or someone you know needs help, please call us at 970-669-5150 or text 970-669-5157.

The Colorado Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board shared the findings in an October report.
