Richland County Youth and Family Council, Richland County Children Services (RCCS), Mansfield Police Department, Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc., First Call 211 and Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center are joining forces to bring warmth and support to families this Thanksgiving through the “Doing Good Together” initiative. Now in its second year, the collaborative effort aims to provide Thanksgiving food boxes to households across Richland County.
The Youth and Family Council serves many Kinship families, grandparents or relatives raising children due to circumstances related to abuse or neglect, as well as families of children with developmental disabilities. Partner agencies are also seeing a rise in requests for food assistance from older adults in the community.
