Your Local 1714 Firefighters stay busy responding to many emergency calls on a daily basis. However, in the past month L1714 members have responded to and operated at two larger more notable incidents.
🚨On January 16th Shift One responded to a three alarm fire on Lincoln Street. Mutual aid from Northborough, Southborough, Hudson, Westborough, Berlin, and Sudbury operated on scene. Framingham and Hopkinton covered MFD stations.
🚨On February 8th Shift Two responded to a water problem at Marlborough Hospital. Resulting damages required the hospital be evacuated, and patients transferred out to other facilities. All on duty personnel responded, and a second alarm was ordered for extra personnel. Several regional task forces of ambulances were utilized to conduct the evacuation which extended late into the early morning hours of February 9th.
