A night out can be more than just a night out. 💙

One thing I’m learning through my involvement with Housing Forward is that making an impact doesn’t always require a huge gesture. Sometimes it starts by simply showing up.

On September 2, Housing Forward will host its 16th Annual Trivia Night: Compete to Defeat Homelessness at Robert’s Westside in Forest Park, and I would love to see some familiar faces there!

Grab your friends, coworkers, family, business partners, or office crew and put a team together. Come enjoy a little friendly competition, connect with some great people, and support an organization doing important work for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

Service is more than something we talk about. It’s something we do. ❤️

Grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside Housing Forward, helping prepare and provide a meal for individuals experiencing homelessness in our community.

Being part of the Steering Committee has given me another way to put compassion into action. Sometimes making a difference looks like strategy, advocacy, and fundraising. Other times, it looks like putting on gloves, preparing plates, serving a meal, and simply showing up for our neighbors.

I’m grateful for everyone who gave their time, energy, and heart to serve. Every person deserves to be treated with dignity, care, and kindness, regardless of what season of life they may be walking through.

Community changes when we decide that caring for one another is everyone’s responsibility. 💛
