Pumpkin spice and everything nice! 🎃🍁

Our second graders had the absolute best time celebrating the fall season at our Fall Festival last week! From fun autumn activities to sweet treats to finish off the day, smiles were on full display.

Future makers in the making! 💚

In honor of Manufacturing Month, our 1st-3rd graders welcomed Danielle Bonin from Plastic Ingenuity on October 30. She read to students, talked about the world of plastics, and showed them how many different careers exist at one local company!

We are SO proud of Lily! 💚🏃‍♀️

On Saturday, Lily ran at the State Cross Country Meet in Wisconsin Rapids, the top race of the season against the best competition in the state. She got out in a great spot and fought her way up throughout the race.

Around the one-mile mark, she lost a shoe... and ran the rest of the race with just one! 👟 Even so, she passed 13 girls in the final mile and finished 38th out of 149 runners.

What a gritty, inspiring finish to a fantastic season. Thank you to everyone who cheered Lily on this year! Let's continue the support in the comments! 👏

Do you have coats the kids have outgrown or extra hats and gloves sitting in a bin? The FFA Winter Clothing Drive is officially underway, and your gently used winter gear can make a big difference for someone in our community.

Drop off your donations in the bins at the Elementary or Middle/High school entrance, New Heights Church, or the Black Earth Children’s Museum now through November 15. 🧣🧤

District Administrator Michelle McGrath was selected to present at the Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance, where she showcased Wisconsin Heights’ journey to create and implement our Strategic Framework. 💚

Thank you to everyone who came out to Vanguard Voices, served on the Strategic Planning Committee, and continues to move this mission forward every day. We’re doing impactful things for our district, and now we’re helping other schools do the same! 👏

Our 4th graders had a MOO-velous time learning about dairy cows! 🐄

Each group read about a different dairy cow breed and created their own drawing to show what they learned.

🇺🇸 WHSD Veterans Day Program 🇺🇸

Please join us on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 9:15 a.m. in the Wisconsin Heights Middle/High School North Gym for our annual Veterans Day Program honoring those who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Our students will help us recognize and thank the Veterans and active service members who have sacrificed so much for our country. Special seating will be available, and visiting service members will have the opportunity to be recognized during the program.

The Winter Clothing Drive is happening soon!

The FFA Chapter is having a Winter Clothing Drive from November 1st - November 15th, 2026. We are looking for gently used coats, snow pants, hats, gloves and scarves! 🧣🧥🧤

Items will be donated to Sunny Seconds, Heights Unlimited and Porchlight Inc.

Bins will be located in the entrance of the elementary school, the entrance of the Middle/High school, New Heights church and the Black Earth Children's Museum.

Autism Society of Wisconsin - Madison is excited to share that they will once again be hosting their annual Sensory Friendly Vaccine Clinic at the Madison Children's Museum on November 6th, 2026 from 3:00-6:00 PM.

Children (ages 5 and up) and their families can receive the flu vaccine and other routine childhood vaccinations by medical providers who specialize in administering them to children with Autism. Accessible vaccine kits, sensory fidgets, and communication boards will be available to support individuals as well.

The Children’s Museum will close to the public at 4:00 PM, but remain open to families who would like to come and play in a more relaxed setting from 4:00 – 6:00 PM- a bonus sensory friendly play time!
