Happy 35 Years of Florida Healthy Start! 🎉
For 35 years, Florida Healthy Start has worked to ensure that every baby has the opportunity for a healthy start in life.
What began on June 4th, 1991 as a groundbreaking statewide initiative has grown into a network of 32 Healthy Start Coalitions serving families across Florida through education, support, and connections to essential resources.
As the Healthy Start Coalition of Miami-Dade, we are proud to be part of this incredible statewide movement. Every day, we work alongside families, healthcare providers, community partners, and advocates to support healthy pregnancies, healthy babies, and healthy families throughout Miami-Dade County.
Today, we celebrate 35 years of impact, collaboration, and commitment to maternal and infant health and look forward to continuing this important work for generations to come. 💙
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the Healthy Start journey. 🌷

This National Heat Awareness Day, we’re raising awareness on how rising temperatures impact maternal and infant health in Miami-Dade County — and sharing ways our community can stay safe.

May is Water Safety Month 💦
With pools, beaches, and waterways all around us in South Florida, water safety is especially important for families and young children. Layers of protection including: active supervision, swim lessons, pool barriers, and CPR knowledge can help prevent drowning incidents.
Let’s work together to help keep Miami-Dade families safe this summer. 🛟
