It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Midland Park school crossing guard Don Hachey. Don was a crossing guard for many years and worked the crossing at Prospect St. and East Center St. and then moving to the Vreeland Ave. and Highland Ave post. Don was a dedicated crossing guard who was always on post no matter the weather. Thanks for your service Don.

Earlier this evening the NJ Game Warden was able to tranquillize the buck and successfully remove the netting that was entangled in its antlers. We would like to thank the Midland Park community for their efforts in helping this unfortunate situation end positively. We would also like to thank the NJ Game Warden and the MPPD officers who assisted this evening.
