Village Of Mogadore Fire Department

11/03/2026

The members of The Mogadore Fire Department send our heartfelt condolences to The North Royalton Fire Department on the tragic loss of one of their own while battling a house fire last night. We also send well wishes to the firefighter that was seriously injured and hope for healing and a speedy recovery.

We stand with our fellow firefighters during this tragic time and would like The North Royalton Fire Department, friends and family of the fallen, and citizens of that community to know that you are all in our thoughts as you navigate this difficult time.

During tonight’s Village council meeting, the Mogadore Fire Department awarded Joey Carrozzi with a citizen meritorious award and a department challenge coin. In May, Joey was getting ready for school when he smelled smoke and discovered his kitchen on fire. Joey successfully located a fire extinguisher and put out the fire prior to our arrival. His actions not only saved his residence from further damage, but may have prevented injuries or even worse. Great job Joey!

STATEWIDE TORNADO DRILL:

Good afternoon Village of Mogadore,

Your Mogadore Fire Department will be participating in the statewide tornado drill tomorrow, March 18th, and setting off the weather alert siren at 9:50am.

I know the weather doesn’t seem like it at the moment, but we are entering the severe weather season here in northeast Ohio.

I ask that you take time during this drill (or anytime) to review your sheltering plans with your household in the event of severe weather.

Thank you!

Last week, we placed our new ambulance in service. It is a 2025 Medix built on a Ford chassis. This unit replaces old medic 1, which was 13 years old. We look forward to serving village residents and visitors with this new piece of equipment for many years to come!
