HAVE YOUR SAY! The Mid Mon Moves Draft Bus Network is here and the Mid Mon Moves Project Team wants to hear from YOU! 📣

We’re sharing the draft bus network for the Mon Valley and inviting the community to review the proposed routes and schedules and share feedback.

🗺️ What’s being proposed?
Many routes will remain similar to current service.

New service is proposed for Washington Township, Fellsburg, and South Hills Village Mall in Allegheny County.

Route frequencies will be adjusted.

Some underperforming route segments are proposed to be discontinued so service can be redirected to areas with the greatest transit demand.

The proposed network is cost-neutral, meaning it maintains the same total service hours as the current network without increasing operating costs.

📅 Public Comment Period: October 22 – November 30

Your voice matters! Whether you have questions, suggestions, concerns, or support for the proposed changes, ALL feedback is welcome. Your input will help the project team understand the community’s transportation needs and shape the future of public transit throughout the Mon Valley.

Nothing makes a grandchild giggle quite like a corny joke from Grandma or Grandpa.

Halloween is the perfect time for a few silly puns. Kids love jokes they can memorize and tell their friends, and they love it even more when the grown-ups groan.

Why did the ghost ride the elevator? To lift its spirits. What do you call a witch at the beach? A sand-witch.

A skeleton who cleans is the Grim Sweeper. Bats like to just hang out. A pumpkin's favorite sport is squash, and a ghost never needs the living room.

The vampire went to the dentist to fix his bat breath. And a cat's favorite Halloween treat? Mice cream, of course.

Telling jokes together is about more than laughter. It builds memories, confidence and a special kind of closeness. Many grown-ups still remember the jokes their grandparents told them every year.

Tell one joke at dinner tonight.
Let a grandchild tell you their favorite.
Write the best ones on a card to keep.

A shared laugh is one of the sweetest gifts we can give.

Stay safe this Halloween! Pedestrians—be visible, cross with care, and carry a light. Drivers—slow down, stay focused, and watch for trick-or-treaters. 🎃👻

🎃 Today is National Black Cat Day! 🐈‍⬛

Skeletons may decorate the porches, ghosts may hang from the trees, and witches may fly across the moon, but black cats have always had a special place in Halloween.

With their mysterious eyes and midnight-colored fur, they bring that perfect touch of spooky charm.

Halloween just wouldn't feel the same without our beautiful little black cats. 🖤🍂🌙

Make sure you and your kids stay safe while trick-or-treating! You can:
– Add a reflective strip to costumes and treat bags.
– Carry a flashlight or glow sticks so drivers can see you better.
– Walk around in a group or with a trusted adult.
– Hem costumes so they are not a tripping hazard.
