What a night! 🎃

We want to send a HUGE thank you to every volunteer who decorated a trunk, everyone who donated candy and every family who came out to celebrate with us. You helped turn Trunk or Treat into such a fun, welcoming night for our Shelter families and community.

We’re so grateful for the time, creativity and generosity that made it all possible - thank you for being a part of what makes this work so rewarding!

🦃 We’re getting closer and we really need everyone to jump in!
We’re working to provide Thanksgiving meals for 200 local families, and there are still plenty of ways to help us get there.
You can donate toward turkeys, help complete a full meal kit, shop for specific items or rally your family, church, coworkers or friends to take on part of the need together.
This is one of those moments where every little bit matters and every can moves us closer to 200 full Thanksgiving tables.

SOS: We’re running low on the sweet stuff!

This month our shelter is in need of sugar, both bulk and individual packets. This is one of those everyday items that disappears faster than you’d think.

Happy 3-Year Work Anniversary, Kenya!

For three years, Kenya has brought patience, flexibility and a genuine willingness to jump in wherever the evening shift takes her. She helps keep things moving, supports our residents through the ups and downs of the day and brings a calm presence to our team.

Trunk or Treat is almost here, and we still need YOU!

We need cars to fill the parking lot.
We need candy to fill the trunks.
And we need our community to help us create a fun, welcoming night for local families.

Join us THIS Friday, October 23 from 6:30–8 pm at the Community Shelter of Union County, 160 Meadow Street in Monroe.

There isn’t just one way to help with our Thanksgiving collection this year!

2️⃣Want to cover a full meal? Donate $60 to provide a complete Thanksgiving kit, including a turkey and traditional sides for a Union County family.

For someone without reliable transportation, a bicycle can mean getting to work, accessing essential services and staying connected. Through our Step It Up Bicycle Program, we’re collecting new or gently used bikes to help our neighbors move toward greater opportunity and independence.

This year, our team is preparing 200 complete Thanksgiving meal kits for local families, each with everything needed to make a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at home.
And we need all hands on deck.
You can give toward the Turkey Fund, sponsor complete meal kits, make a general donation OR rally your family, coworkers, church group or neighborhood to shop and drop specific items.
