It’s almost time! We are still in need of additional bags of candy to make this event a success. Please bring candy to the front of this week! Thank you for your support! We can’t wait to see the smiles on our students’ faces!

Hello there Halcyon Families, surrounding businesses, and Community Stakeholders! Halcyon Elementary is in the process of planning our annual Fall Fun Day for our boys and girls and we need your help. Please consider donating bags of candy to help make this event a success. We will celebrate on Thursday, October 29, 2026. We are asking for bags of candy and treats that can be dropped off at the front office beginning on October 5, 2026. We thank you in advance for your partnership and assistance with putting smiles on our students’ face!

In an effort to strengthen parents’ knowledge of helping their children with homework, Halcyon engaged in Parents are Participants Day! We wanted families to come into the classrooms to learn alongside their children. We hope that families had the opportunity to see and hear content and strategies that can better support their children at home. Many families joined in by coming to school, ready to learn! Thank you parents for your support! We appreciate you!!!

It’s that time of the year again! Time for the annual sock drive! Our 3rd Grade Classes are participating in a Community Service Project to collect as many pairs of socks as possible, in an effort to donate to the community. Please help us reach our goal of collecting at least 500 pairs of socks! Together we can! Please drop socks off to the front office daily. Ending October by kicking off Socktober! With the help of our family, community, and stakeholders, we can make some feet feel real fuzzy this fall/winter season! We need you!!!

As we all know, attendance matters! Just as it is important for students to regularly attend school, it is of equal importance for teachers/staff to attend school regularly as well. For quarter 1, we were able to recognize 5 staff members who were present and accounted for every single day. Congratulations to those 5 staff members who achieved perfect attendance for the first nine weeks! You are appreciated! Enjoy your gift card from our PTA and your month long Jeans Ticket from admin. You deserve that and so much more! (Not pictured: Coach Milton)
