❤️🖤💚💙 AND THE SORTING BEGINS!

What an UNBELIEVABLE day at Westwood Middle School!

We originally planned to sort only our 8th-grade students today, but the energy in the gym was SO ELECTRIC that we couldn’t stop there! The excitement from our students and staff was contagious, the cheers could be heard throughout the entire building, and we knew this moment was too special not to share with everyone. So, we made the decision to sort ALL THREE GRADE LEVELS!

The excitement was real, the reactions were priceless, and the pride in our Warriors was overflowing!

This is about belonging, building relationships, lifting one another up, and creating ONE AMAZING COMMUNITY!

If today was any indication of what’s ahead, we are in for an AMAZING year! We can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for our Warriors!

LET THE HOUSE PRIDE BEGIN! 🔥

A huge thank-you to Huntington National Bank for investing in West Virginia educators through the ‘Ignite the Classroom’ initiative and giving our team the opportunity to experience the Ron Clark Academy! That experience sparked something truly special at Westwood. We are so grateful for your support and for helping us bring this incredible vision to life for our Warriors! ❤️🖤💚💙

❤️💙💚💛 WESTWOOD MIDDLE… NOW THAT'S HOW YOU BUILD A SCHOOL FAMILY! 🎉🏠

WOW. JUST WOW! 🤩

Today was one for the HISTORY BOOKS at Westwood Middle School !

From the incredible costumes and colorful decorations to the red carpet, spinning wheel, and cheers that could be heard throughout the building… Westwood went ALL IN for their HOUSE SORTING CELEBRATION! 🎉

One by one, students stepped up to spin the wheel and discover their new HOUSE! And the BEST part? Watching teachers and students erupt in cheers as each student found their place in their new school family! ❤️

Following their experience at the Ron Clark Academy, Westwood's educators have embraced what they learned and are bringing those strategies to LIFE! And today was a beautiful example of what happens when educators go above and beyond to create a school culture where every student feels celebrated, connected, and valued.

Because this wasn't just about choosing a house color. It was about BELONGING. 💛

A HUGE thank you to our incredible partners at Huntington Bank , the West Virginia Department of Education, and the Ron Clark Academy for helping make opportunities like this possible! Special thanks to Huntington Bank for bringing their ice cream truck and adding an extra scoop of JOY to an already amazing day! 🍦

And to the teachers, staff, and leadership at Westwood Middle School… TAKE A BOW! 👏 Your creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment to building a positive school culture were on full display today!

📸 Swipe through these photos and you'll see exactly what we mean!

THIS is JOY. THIS is BELONGING. THIS is what makes public education so special! 💙💛
