Let the countdown begin! Monday at 8:00 am the polls for early voting will open. We are ready, are you!? We are at two locations this election. The Latah County Fairgrounds and the ISUB on U of I campus.

We will begin mailing requested absentee ballots next Friday, September 18th, 2026. Deadline for requesting an absentee ballot is October 23rd. Why wait?

It appears that an independent organization, not affiliated with Latah County, has distributed prefilled party affiliation change forms. Please note that the deadline to change party affiliation for the May 2026 election was March 13, 2026. As a result, no party affiliation changes can take effect until after the election. Additionally, no changes will be made unless the form is signed and returned to our office by the voter.

Save the date! April 30th, 2026 at the Latah County Courthouse at 3:00 pm we will be holding our logic and accuracy testing. Will be processing the test deck of ballots to certify the accuracy of our optical scan election equipment for the upcoming election pursuant to Idaho Code 34-2417. The test will take place on Wednesday April 30, 2026, in room 2-B of the Latah County Courthouse, 522 S. Adams St., Moscow, Id at 3:00 pm.

On Thursday April 9th, it was discovered that there was a printing error on the voter guide that was released for the May 19th 2026 primary. A correction will be printed and sent to all households in Latah County at no cost to the county or the tax payers. Clerk Julie Fry is taking accountability for the error and assures the voters that the elections are ran with transparency and integrity.
