Sterling Community Food Coalition Food Pantry We are a Mt.

Sterling-Montgomery County, KY 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide food for people who are insecure in their food supply and to support ongoing efforts by our community to end hunger. We have established a food pantry to complement the good work already being done in the community by other food pantries, churches, organizations, businesses and individuals. Whether by volunteering, giving, referring someone who is insecure in their food supply or making others aware of these opportunities, there are plenty of ways you can make a difference. 📦🦃 THANKSGIVING BOX UPDATE 🦃📦

We want to let everyone know that the deadline to sign up for Thanksgiving Boxes has now passed. Our next step is to verify eligibility for all applicants and prepare for distribution during the week before Thanksgiving.

A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to everyone who has committed to putting together Thanksgiving boxes for families in our community. Your generosity is making a real difference. As a reminder, all completed boxes should be delivered to the pantry no later than November 13th.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who has donated, sponsored, or committed to purchasing turkeys. Your support helps make a complete holiday meal possible for local families. Please remember that all turkeys should also be delivered to the pantry by November 13th.

We could not accomplish this mission without the kindness, generosity, and support of our entire community. Together, we are helping ensure that our neighbors in need can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with their families.

Thank you for making a difference this holiday season.

❤️ WHY WE’RE DOING THIS:

To some, a Thanksgiving turkey may seem like a small thing, but to a family struggling to make ends meet, it can mean so much more. It means being able to gather around the table, enjoy a holiday meal, and make special memories without one more financial worry.

From our Sterling Vintage family to yours, let’s come together and make sure a little extra love finds its way to the Thanksgiving tables of our neighbors this year. 🦃🤎🧡

🦃❤️ HELP US PROVIDE 200 THANKSGIVING BOXES TO MONTGOMERY COUNTY RESIDENTS!❤️🦃

The Sterling Community Food Coalition needs our community’s help!

Some of our letters to local churches were returned due to incorrect mailing addresses, so we’re reaching out here!

Our goal is to provide at least 200 Thanksgiving boxes, each containing shelf-stable items for a Thanksgiving dinner for a family of four.

One church has already committed to providing 11 complete boxes, and we are so grateful! ❤️ Now we need your help to reach our goal.

🙏 HOW YOU CAN HELP

We are asking churches, businesses, organizations, families, and individuals to commit to assembling and donating one or more complete Thanksgiving boxes/kits using the shopping list below.

Each complete box should contain:

• 1 box of stuffing mix
• 1 large can of sweet potatoes
• 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
• 1 large can of green beans
• 1 large box of instant mashed potatoes
• 1 bag of marshmallows
• 1 standard can of crispy fried onions
• 1 small bottle of cooking oil
• 1 jar of turkey gravy
• 1 can of cranberry sauce
• 1 double pack of salt and pepper
• 1 package of rolls
• Pie-making supplies: pie crust and canned pie filling

📦 BOX DONATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Commit to a number of complete boxes/kits you can provide.
2. Purchase the items on the list for each box you commit to donating.
3. Assemble the items into a complete box or sturdy bag.
4. Contact the Sterling Community Food Coalition to confirm your commitment and arrange drop-off or delivery details.

🦃 WHAT ABOUT THE TURKEY OR HAM?

We are partnering with local businesses to provide turkeys or hams to be added to the Thanksgiving boxes when they are distributed to families. Please do not include a turkey or ham in your donated box. Our business partners are helping us provide the meat separately.

❤️ Whether you commit to one box or several, your support will help us reach our goal of serving at least 200 families this Thanksgiving!

Please contact the Sterling Community Food Coalition to let us know how many complete boxes you can commit to providing.

Together, we can make Thanksgiving brighter for our neighbors in need!
