Welcome to the Mountain Home Air Force Base Outdoor Recreation's official page on Facebook. From classes to trips, there is something for everyone!

Outdoor Recreation offers exciting, year-round, high-adventure programming for Gunfighters and their families. We also offer a wide range of classes such as Dutch oven cooking, the basics of gold panning, and navigation with GPS, map, and compass. Idaho provides an excellent opportunity for recreational trips ranging from white water rafting and kayaking to cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. ODR also offers rock climbing, rappelling, rock hounding, gold panning, orienteering, snowshoeing, hiking, backpacking (beginner and advanced), and camping. Visit our website often or contact our staff about upcoming trips, costs, and dates. Outdoor Recreation is also the home to Yellowstone Country Trailers, Strike Dam Marina, an on-base RV storage lot, MHAFB FamCamp, and our very own trap and s***t range with archery. For more information, contact our office at (208) 828-6333. Here at Outdoor Recreation we also have an active Internship program for individuals studying Outdoor Recreation or Recreation Managment. Timeframes and lengths are flexible, if you are interested in some hands on experience in the recreation field give us a call at 208-828-6333 for more information.
