A stronger, more resilient future for Mountain Home Air Force Base!

Mountain Home AFB celebrated the opening of its new water treatment plant, marking a major milestone in strengthening the installation’s water security and mission readiness.

Funded through the Department of War’s Energy Resilience and Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP), the project enhances the base’s ability to provide a reliable water supply, reduce the risk of future water shortages and support continued mission operations.

This investment in critical infrastructure helps ensure Gunfighters remain ready to execute the mission, anytime, anywhere. 💪

Mountain Home Air Force Base will hold a military voting stand down this Friday, 9 October, in accordance with Department of War and Department of the Air Force directives.

This stand down is intended to enable time for Gunfighters to apply for absentee voter ballots and/or complete absentee ballots for the upcoming election on 3 November.

Ahead of Friday’s stand down, Gunfighters are encouraged to visit the website for the Federal Voting Assistance Program at https://www.fvap.gov for voting assistance for service members and their families.

During this stand down, all commanders and supervisors will actively allocate time for personnel to engage with these resources. Unit Voting Assistance Officers will be available for each unit – to service members and family members – to assist in voter registration and ballot submissions this Friday. Unit Voting Assistance members will send out their contact methods and hours, separately via email. Additionally, the Military & Family Readiness Center, as our installation office for voting assistance, will be open this Friday from 9am - 2pm, at Building 180.

Please note that many base services will be closed as a part of this stand down – to include the Child Development Center and Youth Center (evening activities will go on, as scheduled). Please plan ahead accordingly!
