Early Morning in Murfreesboro: Camp-Hill House, Murfreesboro, Hertford County, North Carolina

With an 18th century back section, the large Greek Revival house was enlarged, probably by builder, Albert Gamaliel Jones in the 1830's. The first comment shows a 2020 real estate listing which shows the fine interiors of this home.

Whether you are a new volunteer, former, or regular, we would love for you to join us! It's our 40th annual, and we are going to make it really special!

Great things are always happening at the Murfreesboro Historical Association. Right now the Robert-Vaughn house and outbuildings are undergoing a major roof renovation. It’s very expensive to restore a building using the correct historically accurate materials. In this case, the roof is covered with cedar shakes. if you value the beauty that our properties add to the town and the functions that they provide for the community, please consider donating to help us cover the cost. We had an amazing Soup & Sandwich day today! Thank you to all of our volunteers who cooked and baked, all of our volunteers who helped set up, serve the food, and clean up, and especially to Mary Etta Flowers, who has chaired this event for more years than I can remember and keeps going strong!!!
