River Bend students have been hard at work in Sam's biology class! Students made edible cell models. They made the cake, then used various candies to represent the different organelles of the cell!

River Bend students got out of the classroom and onto local shop floors for the annual Tour of Manufacturing!

They got a firsthand look at real career paths, saw incredible technology in action, and learned directly from local employers.

Huge thanks to all the local businesses and educational sites that hosted our group and showed our students what modern manufacturing is all about!

Sleepy Eye Lake was the place to be as River Bend students enjoyed a beautiful day of fishing, fun, and new experiences!

Students from River Bend headed to Sleepy Eye Lake for a day on the water, and it was a trip to remember. With fishing poles in hand and plenty of excitement, students tried their luck at catching fish—and many of them experienced the thrill of catching their first fish ever!

There were smiles, cheers, and plenty of excitement each time a fish came out of the water. Students encouraged one another, celebrated each other’s catches, and enjoyed spending time outdoors with their classmates and staff.

For some students, the biggest highlight wasn't just catching a fish—it was learning something new, trying something outside their comfort zone, and sharing the experience with friends.

By the end of the day, it was clear that everyone had a great time. Whether students caught one fish, several fish, or simply enjoyed being outside with friends, the day at Sleepy Eye Lake created memories that will last a long time.

It was a reel-y great day at River Bend! 🎣

Robotics students have been working hard on a pretty awesome project lately! They programmed this XRP robot to act like automated machines on a factory floor.

The task was to get the robot to complete a full loop, stop at specific checkpoints along the way (just like a quality control stop in real manufacturing), and then repeat the process on its own.

It took a lot of measuring, testing, and tweaking the code to get it right, but they nailed it!

It truly takes a village, and we are overflowing with gratitude for everyone who helped bring the Phoenix Pantry to life! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, our pantry is stocked and ready to support our students.

A massive thank you to:

Hyvee of New Ulm for their generous donation to help get our shelves filled.

Our DonorsChoose Supporters—both anonymous and local community members—who funded the build for our brand-new pantry cabinets.

Every Community Member who dropped off school supplies, non-perishable food, and essential hygiene products.

Because of your kindness, our students have direct access to the everyday items they need to thrive. Thank you for showing what makes our community so special!

Great things are happening here! We are so excited about this opportunity for our students!

Help us launch our new Student Food & Hygiene Pantry! 🎒✨

We’re expanding our hygiene pantry to include shelf-stable food items. This will be dedicated, discreet space where students can access free food items and personal care supplies whenever they need them.

We need a little community support to make this possible. Check out our DonorsChoose project and consider donating or sharing:
