💪 CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR RAD GRADUATES! 💜

Last night, our amazing women completed their four-week R.A.D. (R**e Aggression Defense) Self-Defense course, finishing strong with realistic scenarios that allowed them to put their skills, training, and confidence to the test!

Over the past four weeks, these women have grown so much—not only in their self-defense skills, but also in their confidence, awareness, and ability to trust themselves. Watching them challenge themselves, step outside their comfort zones, and discover their own strength has been incredible. 👏

Self-defense is about more than learning techniques. It’s about building confidence, recognizing your abilities, and knowing you have options when faced with a potentially dangerous situation. These women have put in the work, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything they’ve accomplished! ❤️

A huge thank you to each participant for showing up, putting in the effort, and supporting one another throughout this journey. You are strong, capable, and empowered! 💜

📣 Interested in joining us? We will announce our Spring R.A.D. Self-Defense Class dates in February! Stay tuned for more information!

Congratulations to Supervisor McCafferty, who has been selected as our Cadet of the Month for exemplifying the PRIDE core value of Dedication!

Since joining the program in February 2024 and earning her promotion to Supervisor in March 2025, CS McCafferty has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to both her responsibilities and the continued success of the program.

Even after graduating this past spring, CS McCafferty has remained an active and highly engaged member of our team. She is consistently communicative, dependable, and passionate about her work, while also providing thoughtful and constructive feedback whenever asked.

Most recently, CS McCafferty played an instrumental role in our hiring process, assisting with interviews that resulted in 18 new Cadet hires. Her involvement extended well beyond, dedicating significant time to interviewing and helping identify the next generation of Cadets who will carry the program forward.

CS McCafferty’s commitment to leaving the Cadet Program stronger than she found it speaks volumes about her character and leadership. Her dedication to the program, her fellow Cadets, and its future is truly unmatched.

Congratulations, Supervisor McCafferty, and thank you for the legacy you continue to build!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends and members of the Philadelphia Police Department during this very difficult time.

Rest In Peace, Officer Shane Seiber- Philadelphia Police Department

The Delaware Fraternal Order of Police stands united with our brothers and sisters of the Philadelphia Police Department as we mourn the tragic loss of Officer Shane Seiber, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Today, our hearts are especially heavy for Officer Seiber’s family, friends, fellow officers, and all those whose lives he touched.

No family should have to endure the heartbreak of losing a loved one who left home to protect others. No department should have to face the pain of an empty seat at roll call. And no officer’s sacrifice should ever be forgotten.

🚨August Cadet of the Month – Treasure Wright🚨

Congratulations to Cadet Treasure Wright, who has been selected as our Cadet of the Month for exemplifying the PRIDE core value of Excellence!

Cadet Wright consistently demonstrates the reliability, professionalism, and positive attitude we strive for within the Cadet Program. Her performance on a special assignment last year recently resulted in her being requested to return for the assignment again this year, a strong reflection of the impression she leaves through her work.

She continually steps up when the program needs her, volunteering to fill shift vacancies and special events, and even assisting as an acting supervisor when unexpected coverage was needed. Cadet Wright is trustworthy, punctual, communicative, and approaches her responsibilities with an outstanding attitude. She also demonstrates accountability and integrity in the way she handles challenges and takes ownership of her responsibilities.

Her willingness to step up, along with the consistently high standard she brings to her work, makes her an exceptional example of what Excellence looks like within the Cadet Program.

Congratulations, Cadet Wright!

Today, the University of Delaware Police Department joins our nation in solemn remembrance of the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the nearly 3,000 people who never returned home, the first responders who courageously ran toward danger, and the countless individuals whose lives were forever changed by the events of that day.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the courage, sacrifice, unity, and selfless service demonstrated in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

To our fellow first responders, military members, survivors, families, and all those who carry the memory of September 11—we stand with you.

May we never forget those we lost, and may we always honor their memory through service to others.

🇺🇸 We Will Never Forget. 9/11/2001 🇺🇸
