Seventy four percent of Americans plan to celebrate Halloween this year, and they are expected to spend an average of $115.14 each doing it, according to the National Retail Federation.

However you celebrate, we hope it is the fun kind of scary. The members of this association will be out in the neighborhoods tonight and tomorrow, and nothing would make them happier than a quiet shift and a lot of waving from kids in capes.

Happy Halloween from all of us.

đź’™ Happy National First Responders Day!

Today we celebrate the people who answer the call, day or night. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, about 1.3 million Americans work as police and sheriff's patrol personnel, firefighters, EMTs and paramedics. That doesn't even count volunteer firefighters, who make up 62% of the fire service.

📬 It's also a great day to check your mailbox! Our official fundraising letters are arriving in homes across our community, and some of you may already have yours.

No need to wait for the letter. If you'd like to stand with the men and women of this association, we'd be grateful for your support here: https://newportbeachpa.org/donate?utm_source=facebook_helpers&utm_medium=post&utm_term=org

Newport Beach uses Safety Enhancement Zones to raise the cost of bad behavior on our busiest nights, and the city expanded them into Corona del Mar under this council.

Paired with the new holiday curfew and stronger parental responsibility rules, it adds up to a city that is serious about enforcement. Your Newport Beach Police Association backs the leaders who made it happen.
