Looking for a fun way for kids and teens to spend time outdoors this summer? Grab some friends or family and head to the Pedal Boat House at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park!

Pedal boats are a great way to stay active, enjoy the sunshine, and explore the lake at your own pace. Boats hold up to 4 people, making it a fun summer activity for groups, siblings, and visiting friends.

Rentals are just $5 per person for 30 minutes and are available first-come, first-served.

Have a 12 or 13-year-old interested in working out? The Northglenn Recreation Center’s Youth Weight Room Orientation helps young participants learn how to safely and confidently use the fitness area.

During this orientation, youth will learn proper form, safe workout practices, and how to correctly use weight room equipment and machines. Participants who complete the orientation will be eligible to use the weight room in the future with adult supervision.

This is a great opportunity for teens to build healthy habits, learn fitness basics, and feel comfortable in a supportive environment while staying active this summer.

Want to become a more confident scorer, stronger ball handler, and more accurate shooter?

The Scoring, Shooting & Ballhandling Skills Camp is designed to help players take their game to the next level. Whether you're looking to create space, beat defenders off the dribble, finish at the basket, or improve your shooting consistency, this camp provides the tools and training to help you succeed.

Participants will receive 15 hours of on-court instruction focused on skill development, along with daily competitive game play including 1-on-1, 2-on-2, 3-on-3, 4-on-4, and 5-on-5 action. Players will learn how to read defenses, make smarter decisions, and build the confidence needed to make plays in game situations.

Looking for a fun and social way to stay active this summer? Join a Pickleball League at Wyco Park through the Northglenn Recreation Center!

Whether you are newer to pickleball or have been playing for years, these leagues offer a welcoming and enjoyable environment for players to compete, connect with others, and enjoy summer evenings outdoors. Coed, men’s, and women’s doubles leagues are available for both 3.0 & below and 3.5 & above skill levels.

Games take place Monday and Tuesday evenings from 6:00PM–8:00PM beginning June 8 and June 9. Team registration is $90 for a two-person team.

Pickleball continues to be one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, offering a great combination of exercise, friendly competition, and community connection. Register your team today and join us on the courts this summer.
