Join Odessa Parks & Recreation for the Be Thankful 5K Run! Whether you're chasing a personal best or simply enjoying a morning outdoors, it's a great way to kick off the season of gratitude!

All runners will receive an event t-shirt and participation medal! Plus, special medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in both men's and women's categories!

Behind the Scenes at Starbright Village

Ever wonder what it takes to bring the magic of Starbright Village to life? What many people don't realize is that City of Odessa Parks and Recreation employees begin preparing for this beloved holiday tradition in early October, months before the first lights are turned on.

"It really takes teamwork to get everything ready for the community's favorite time of year," shared Manny Franco, Southside Parks Supervisor.

From setting up festive displays to preparing thousands of twinkling lights, countless hours of hard work go into making Starbright Village a special experience for families each year.

It's all thanks to the dedication and teamwork of our hardworking crews who help make this Odessa holiday tradition shine!
