Orlando Youth Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1990. Our mission is to provide a safe space for LGBTQ youth in Central Florida.
The Orlando Youth Alliance (OYA) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization which provides a safe space for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (GLBTQ) youth to gather, talk about issues and concerns that are important in their lives, as well as meet other gay youth. Did you know that only 1% of the population ages 13 and older identify as transgender? That few amount of people and yet transgender people fight for rights every day; they risk lack of legal protection, stigma, harassment, and discrimination, just to be who they know they are meant to be.
March 31st is Transgender Day of Visibility, where we raise awareness of the discriminations faced AND celebrate the accomplishments and contributions by all under the Transgender umbrella and across the gender spectrum .
OYA is a safe space for not just youth across the sexuality spectrum, but the gender spectrum as well. Happy Trans Day of Visibility! WE SEE YOU!
