Mrs. Alfonso started off the year by escorting the 7th grade AHLI group to the farm parks and museum of natural history. At the Farmparks they learned about the methods and benefits of growing food. At the museum they explored different ecosystems and the organisms that support them. As trips continue we will dive into the importance of soil in our environment.

This past Friday 6th grade AHLI Leadership Program enjoyed a nature walk where we explored the outdoors and learned more about our surroundings. We also participated in team-building activities that helped us practice communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. We discussed how we can use these skills to become positive role models and strong leaders for our 6th-grade classmates! 🌿💚

Summer break doesn’t mean the learning stops! 🎣🥾🌊

Our AHLI participants have been making the most of their summer through fun, hands-on experiences in the community. From a fishing field trip and a scenic 3-mile hike to learning about the daily water quality testing that helps keep Fairport Harbor Beach safe for visitors, every adventure has been an opportunity to explore, stay active, and discover something new.

We’re proud of our students for continuing to learn, grow, and connect with the world around them all summer long!

We love continuing traditions that celebrate our students! Yesterday, our 6th graders who consistently met our behavioral expectations earned the opportunity to enjoy a skating trip together. We are proud of the way they represented Heritage with PRIDE and appreciate our staff for helping make this tradition possible. Great job, Raiders!
