Your PTO dollars at work: Synergy Squad supplies.

Synergy Squads are a key part of Oak Grove’s Leader in Me program, giving students opportunities to collaborate, build leadership skills, and put the 7 Habits into action.

These experiences aren’t just about having fun, they’re about giving back too. Students get to create, teach, help, and make a difference for others in our school community.

We also have it on good authority that synergy squads are a lot of fun for volunteers! If you’d like to volunteer for a future Synergy Squad activity, reach out to us.

Thank you for making experiences like these possible!

Know a local business that would love to support Oak Grove?

We’re looking for OAKtoberfest sponsors, and we’d love your help spreading the word! If you have a connection with a local business, please forward our sponsorship information their way.

It’s a great opportunity for local businesses to get their name in front of hundreds of Oak Grove families while supporting a fun event that brings our school community together.

You make the introduction—we’ll take it from there!

Happy National Custodian Day to our amazing custodial team! Thank you for your patience, your hard work, your flexibility, and for somehow keeping up with the beautiful chaos that is elementary school.

Oak Grove Elementary School simply would not be the same without you! Thanks for making us shine! ✨

Happy National Principals Month to Mrs. Irvin!

Stepping into a school with a strong culture and so much love for the leadership that came before her is NO small task. But Mrs. Irvin has embraced Oak Grove with an open mind, a willingness to listen, and a genuine desire to be part of what makes Oak Grove Elementary School so special.
. . and if you need proof that she’s willing to go ALL IN for our school, just remember: this woman faced her fears and climbed onto the roof! She also donned a kimono today. . . more on that later! 😉

Mrs. Irvin, thank you for embracing our community and showing up for our students and staff every day. We’re so glad you’re here!

OAKtoberfest is almost here!

Come hungry, come ready to play, and come prepared to stay awhile. Your wristband gets you ALL the fun—inflatables, trackless train, face painting, carnival games & more!

🎟️ Wristbands are $15 now and go up to $20 after October 18.
🍕 Pre-order your pizza so dinner is one less thing to think about.
🙌 We still need a few volunteers! The fun doesn’t happen without our amazing Oak Grove crew.

October has entered the chat. . .

We’ve got TWO big nights on the calendar, and you’re going to want to save the dates:

🍁 OAKtoberfest
Grab your lawn chairs, bring your people, and settle in for a night of good food, good company, and kid-approved chaos. Think rides, games, face painting, pizza, and plenty of reasons to stay awhile!

🎃 Cart-or-Treat
Decorate your golf cart, dress up, and get ready to roll from cart to cart collecting candy. And yes—PTO is bringing the candy.

More details and sign-ups coming your way.

Let’s make October a good one!

In light of tonight's Spirit Night at Playa Bowls, we wanted to share a Spirit Night Snapshot!

Our goal for the school year is $2,500, and we’re happy to say we’re right on track! Spirit Nights are such an easy way to support PTO—when you shop or dine at participating businesses, a portion of eligible purchases comes right back to Oak Grove.

We’ll keep sharing updates throughout the year so you know how your participation is adding up!

09/28/2026

Pro-tip: Tomorrow is National Coffee Day, so Playa Bowls has a BOGO offer on their Sweet Cream Cold Brew or Playola Cold Brew. What better way to support the school AND get a deal. . . AND get a FREE commemorative Oak Grove Elementary School pin! Wins all around!

Hope to see you tomorrow!
