🎃👻 Make Perkasie Fire Company a Stop on Your Trick-or-Treat Route! 👻🎃

The ghosts and goblins will be out Saturday night, and we’ll be ready for them! 🍬🚒

We’ll be handing out candy at the firehouse from 6–8 PM on Halloween, and we’d love for you to stop by our “house” while you’re out trick-or-treating!

Bring the little superheroes, princesses, spooky creatures, and everything in between to say hello, show off those costumes, and grab a treat from your local firefighters. We always love seeing our community, especially the little faces that make these nights so much fun! ❤️

🚒❤️ National First Responders Day ❤️🚑

When the call comes in, someone leaves dinner on the table, steps away from their family, or drops whatever they’re doing to go help someone they may have never met. That’s what service looks like. And behind every first responder is a family, a team, and a community that makes it possible.

Today, we’re recognizing and thanking all those people who show up when others need them most.

Here at Perkasie Fire Company, we’re grateful for our own members who give their time, energy, and heart to serving others. But we also recognize the many other first responders who serve alongside us — our police officers, EMS providers, dispatchers, and fellow fire companies who work together to keep our communities safe.

We also want to recognize the people behind the scenes who help make it all possible. From our contributing members and supporters to the families who share their loved ones with this volunteer service, and the community members and local businesses who support our efforts — you are an important part of our team, too. We couldn’t do what we do without you. ❤️

As we wrap up another busy Fire Prevention Month, we also want to say a huge thank-you to everyone who came out to our events, visited us at the station, welcomed us into schools and daycares, and took the time to learn about fire safety. This is one of our busiest times of the year, but it’s also one we look forward to every year. Getting to connect with our community, meet so many families, and help teach the next generation about fire safety makes all the hard work worthwhile!

To everyone who serves, supports, encourages, and stands behind our first responders — THANK YOU! Whether you wear a uniform, answer a dispatch call, volunteer your time, support us behind the scenes, or simply show up when we need you, you make a difference.

❤️🚒 A Special Thank You to Living Hope Church 🚒❤️

Yesterday, some of our members and their families had the pleasure of attending a special service at Living Hope Church in Dublin, where first responders were recognized and honored for the work they do in our communities.

The service was led by Pastor Nick, who also serves as Perkasie Fire Company’s chaplain. It was a meaningful morning, and we were grateful for the invitation and the opportunity to be part of it.

Being a first responder is about more than answering calls. It’s about serving others, supporting one another, and being part of a community that cares. Having that commitment recognized and appreciated means a great deal to our members and their families.

A heartfelt thank-you to Pastor Nick and everyone at Living Hope Church for welcoming us, keeping first responders in their thoughts and prayers, and taking the time to show your appreciation. ❤️

Putting Our New Rescue Tools to Work! 🔨

This past week, members of Perkasie Fire Company took advantage of a beautiful evening to get some hands-on training with our new HURST rescue tools!

With the help of John Sileski from MESFire, the company that supplied our new equipment, members worked with our new spreader, O-cutter, combi-tool, and large and small rescue rams.

Using two vehicles, crews practiced a variety of vehicle extrication techniques and got a firsthand look at the capabilities of our new equipment.

It was a great night of training, and everyone walked away with some valuable experience and a better understanding of what these tools can do.

A big thank you to MES for their support and guidance, and to all of our members who came out and participated!

Great training, great weather, and another step forward in keeping our crews prepared to serve the community! 💪

🚒✨ A Fresh Look for Our Trucks — Thank You! ✨🚒

There’s been a little work happening behind the scenes to get our apparatus looking its best, and we have two local businesses to thank!

First, a big shoutout to Ryan from RTG – Ryan Taylor Graphics for the new decals on our repurposed Rescue 26! Ryan was quick to respond, worked around our schedule, and did a fantastic job getting everything in place. The new Rescue 26 designation looks great, and we appreciate him helping bring this next chapter together!

We also want to thank Brian from Curb Appeal Detail LLC for the outstanding work detailing Rescue 26 and Tower 26. Brian put in some serious time and effort, giving both trucks a thorough exterior cleaning, paint decontamination, polishing, and protective sealant. The attention to detail really shows, and both trucks are looking sharp! ✨

Our apparatus is a big part of what we do, and keeping it clean, cared for, and ready to serve our community matters. We’re grateful to have local businesses willing to lend their time and expertise to help us take pride in our equipment.

🚒❤️ A Weekend of Remembrance, Community & Fire Prevention ❤️🚒

It’s been a busy few days out in the community for Perkasie Fire Company!

On Sunday, members traveled to Doylestown for the 2026 Fallen Firefighter and EMS Memorial Service, hosted by the Bucks County Chiefs and Firefighters Association. Even with the rain falling, we came together with fellow firefighters and departments from across the county to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others; including two of our own whom we also honored back in April on the 100th anniversary of their passing. We will always take the time to remember those who gave everything. 🇺🇸

Then, on Monday, we headed to the Fort Washington Fire Company No. 1 Fire Prevention Expo, where we brought along two pieces of our apparatus to help line the expo: our historic 1939 Autocar and Tower 26! It was a great opportunity to be part of an event focused on fire prevention, public education, and bringing the fire service together.

Whether we’re honoring those who came before us or helping educate the next generation, we’re proud to represent Perkasie Fire Company and be part of such a dedicated fire service community.

Thank you to the organizers of both events for bringing everyone together and giving us the opportunity to participate. 🚒❤️

🔥🍳 FIRE PREVENTION IN ACTION: COOKING FIRE SAFETY 🍳🔥

We’re continuing our Fire Prevention Month series with a topic that hits close to home — cooking fire safety!

Cooking is one of the leading causes of home fires, and a few simple habits in the kitchen can make a big difference.

Here are some important reminders for your family:

🍳 Stay in the kitchen while cooking! Keep an eye on food while cooking, especially when frying, grilling, or broiling. If you need to leave, turn off the stove.

👩‍🍳 Keep things that can burn away from the stove! Oven mitts, paper towels, packaging, dish towels, and wooden utensils should all stay clear of hot burners.

🧒 Create a kid-free zone! Keep children at least 3 feet away from the stove and other hot cooking areas.

🔥 Know what to do if a fire starts! Never throw water on a grease fire! If a small grease fire starts in a pan, turn off the heat if you can do so safely and slide a lid over the pan. Baking soda can help smother a very small grease fire, but never use flour or sugar. Leave it covered until completely cool. If the fire spreads or you feel unsafe, get everyone out and call 911.

Some of you may have seen our stove fire safety prop during our Fire Prevention Week demonstrations! It gives us a way to show kids what can happen when a cooking fire starts and why knowing how to react matters. 🚒

Fire prevention starts with the little things we do every day. Share these reminders with your family, and help us keep our community safe! ❤️
