🐝Parents of Perrysburg Junior High & HPI…
No Tricks, Just Treats for Our Schools! 👻🍬🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃

🎃 Parents of Toth Elementary—No Tricks, Just Treats for Our Schools! 👻

This Halloween season, don’t be spooked by the idea of advocating for fair school funding—it’s not scary at all! Important decisions about Ohio’s next two-year state budget are being made right now, and the future resources for our kids are at stake. This weekend is the perfect time to act!

We need your boo-tiful voices to help secure fair and sustainable funding for public schools:
* 🍬 Fully fund the state’s share of education instead of passing the cost to local taxpayers.
* 🕸️ Update the Fair School Funding Plan to reflect the real cost of educating today’s students.
* 🧡 Provide property-tax relief without draining resources from our kids.

Here’s how you can cast your spell for change TODAY:

📧 Contact both of your state legislators and encourage them to treat our schools fairly:
* State Representative Haraz N. Ghanbari: [email protected]
* State Senator Theresa Gavarone: [email protected]

⏳ Don’t wait until after the election! The budget framework is brewing now, and your small effort can have a monstrously big impact.

👀 Wondering how your candidates feel about school funding? Check out the Ohio Advocacy for Fair School Funding’s survey here: https://ohfairschoolfundin.wixsite.com/oafsf

Together, we can ensure that Toth Elementary and all Perrysburg Schools thrive—no tricks, only treats for our kids! 🖤💛

See you at the game tonight!🐝🖤💛🏈

OH BOY.
HERE IS YOUR FEEL-GOOD FRIDAY STORY:
(grab a Kleenex)
😢

Last night, a group of kids were milling around the Whitmer campus in the evening. A staff member saw them and wanted to (1) make sure they were safe and (2) make sure they weren’t up to no good.

The teens immediately identified themselves as Perrysburg Schools students, looking to paint our school rock.

(SIDEBAR: This is what Spirit Rocks are for. They are not breaking any rules by doing this. Kids frequently paint other schools’ rocks in anticipation for big games.)

The staff member then asked why they weren’t at the rock and the kids got quiet.

“We were going to paint it but… we just saw that it was full of Jaden Jones stuff and we don’t want to disrespect that.”

……..

This staff member (who happened to be very close to Jaden) was OVERCOME by their wisdom, kindness and integrity. He choked up and responded,

“Do you know how cool and respectful that is? That means a lot. “

A girl then asked if they could put something small in the bottom left corner and the staff member said that would be fine.

This is what they left.

The kids are alright y’all.
The kids are alright. ❤️‍🩹

Thank you to the parents and students who showed up early and stayed late. We appreciate you setting up and tearing it down. This team had everything cleaned up in about 15 minutes and the amazing custodial crew started the set up for the Volleyball Tournament Saturday. It takes a village and we at JHPO are so grateful for each of you.

Thank you to Perrysburg Junior High School staff for chaperoning with us.

Thank you to our President Katie Grant for being the first one there and Event Chair Sarah Gondick for her planning! 👻🎃🐝

We all had a BOO BLAST!

We are proud to grant Teacher Mini Grants like this one! We are often fundraising and this is one of the many worthy projects we said yes to. A small amount of money partnered with a thoughtful and innovative teacher. Thank you to Mrs Boros at Hull Prairie.
