Sharing this great opportunity through the Tygart Valley United Way!

The Tygart Valley United Way is launching a new AmeriCorps program that is an expansion of their existing VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program. Full-time Members will serve as Financial Security Coordinators, the lead on-site VITA experts, serving from November 2026 through September 2027. Their role is to provide financial literacy education and free tax preparation services to residents of the Tygart Valley region.

This full-time position offers a living allowance of $20,400, an education award of $7,395, health insurance benefits, childcare assistance, student loan forbearance, and valuable ongoing training provided by Tygart Valley United Way and the THRIVE AmeriCorps program. Because this is a position through AmeriCorps, it's slightly different than a typical job. It is a one-year term of service, during which Members complete 1,700 hours.

Here and There Transit is looking to hire a FULL-TIME driver!

Competitive hourly wage & benefits available! Applicants must have a good driving record, the ability to obtain and/or maintain a Class D driver’s license, pass a physical examination as required, submit to a pre-employment drug test and random drug/alcohol testing, maintain CPR and First Aid cards, and possess the ability to become certified in all safety related issues required by the State Transit Program and Here and There Transit. All necessary training will be provided.
