Health Sciences Coeur d'Alene Tribal School, Day 2!
Following the excellent afternoon with Marimn Dental Care Team on Tuesday, students had a go at making toothpaste from natural ingredients. Recipe one, made with coconut oil, baking soda and peppermint oil, and recipe two made with baking soda, Himalayan salt and spearmint oil. The students recalled much of what they learned on Day 1 from the Marimn Team, and also had some great suggestions about why we used these specific ingredients.

Well done 5th and 6th Grade; you were awesome!

A great start to the new Health Sciences course for 5th & 6th Graders at Tribal School! Students learned all about careers in dental health and enjoyed some fun hands-on activities. Many thanks to Marimn Health and Coeur d'Alene Tribal School for partnering with us in this exciting new adventure.
Big shout out to Dr Kate Means, Cathleen and Laraina for inspiring future Coeur d'Alene dentists, hygienists and assistants, and to the 5th & 6th graders for being so engaged in learning 😁
