Indigenous Peoples’ Day has been observed for decades in various forms under different names to honor Native Americans’ history and culture, as well as to acknowledge the ongoing challenges they encounter.

Today we reflect and acknowledge the Kanza, Osage, Kickapoo, and Octet Sakowin Nations who were stewards of the land now known as Prairie Village long before our community was established 75 years ago.
