💙🫶🏻 TODAY WAS ABOUT OUR MEMBERS…
AND WHAT A DAY IT WAS! 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼💙

Happy Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day!

Today, we traded our desks for doorsteps, emails for handshakes, and our usual routines for something a little more personal. And what an incredibly meaningful day it turned out to be! 🥰

Our Chamber Board of Directors, Ambassadors, and staff set out on a special DAY OF ACTION with one simple mission: to personally THANK the businesses and organizations that believe in us, support our work, and make our Chamber what it is today. 🙏🏻

68 Chamber members and one very dear volunteer were visited today! And we're not finished yet!

We delivered handwritten notes, shared a few sweet treats, exchanged handshakes and hugs, and, most importantly, took the time to connect.

And those conversations? They meant more than you know. We heard your stories, shared some laughs, listened, and were reminded again and again why we love what we do!

We hope that YOUR Chamber made YOU feel special, supported, valued, and appreciated. Because you are. Every single day.

We believe wholeheartedly in our mission and the work we do to champion businesses, connect people, create opportunities, and strengthen our community. But none of it happens without the businesses, organizations, and individuals who stand alongside us.

Our greatest strength isn't a program, an event, or an initiative. It's YOU. 🫵🏻

To our incredible Board Members and Ambassadors — THANK YOU! Your willingness to show up, give your time, and represent our Chamber with such genuine care and enthusiasm speaks volumes about the pride within our organization. We simply couldn't do it without you! ☺️

And to our 350+ Chamber members, thank you for trusting us, believing in our mission, and allowing us to be part of your journey. When YOU thrive, WE thrive! 🪴

A special thank you to Miss Betsy's for going above and beyond today, and to Eclectic Blend Coffee House, Scooter's Coffee, and Simply Nutrition for helping us with a few extra touches that made our Day of Action even sweeter! And to Garden of Eden Princeton and Eclectic Blend, thank you for turning the tables and spoiling our Chamber staff today! 🥹♥️ Your kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness mean more than words can express. We are blessed beyond measure and SO incredibly proud of the businesses and people who make up our Chamber family!🫶🏻

WE HAD SO MUCH FUN TODAY BUT WE'RE NOT QUITE DONE! 🤩

Our list was a little ambitious (imagine that🤔💭!), so if we didn't make it to your doorstep today, don't be surprised if you see a familiar Chamber face tomorrow!

Nearly 80 years of service. 350+ members strong. And a whole lot of heart. Thank you for being the reason we do what we do! ♥️

💙 MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE.
RIGHT HERE IN PRINCETON! 👏🏻

Did you know that the WORLD'S #1 DOOR CLOSERS are manufactured right here in Princeton, Illinois?!🚪🌎

This morning, the Chamber had the privilege of spending time at Allegion – LCN, one of Princeton and Bureau County's largest employers, with approximately 285 employees. And let us tell you, we left feeling incredibly proud to have this remarkable company in our community!

As part of Manufacturing Month, area high school students from LaMoille and LaSalle-Peru joined Allegion's team for a firsthand look at the world of manufacturing and the incredible career opportunities available right here at home.

Students heard from Plant Manager Tom Burch and Capital Projects Manager Zach Friel, along with remarks from Mayor Ray Mabry, before touring the facility and participating in a panel discussion with Allegion employees and leadership.

But what impressed us most wasn't just what they manufacture. It was the PEOPLE behind it.

The pride, teamwork, and genuine appreciation these employees have for their company and one another were unmistakable. The panelists spoke openly and sincerely about their experiences, opportunities for advancement, and a workplace that invests in its people through continued education and professional growth.

You could FEEL the pride in that room. And what a powerful message for the students listening!

This is exactly why manufacturing matters so much to our local economy. These businesses provide meaningful careers, support families, create opportunities, and help our communities thrive.

🙌🏻 A HUGE Chamber shoutout to the entire Allegion – LCN team! Thank you for inviting us, for investing in your employees, and for being such an outstanding example of manufacturing excellence right here in Princeton!

Special recognition also goes to Chamber members Illinois Valley Community College and Business Employment Skills Team (BEST) for helping make Manufacturing Day possible and connecting our students with real-world career opportunities.

💙 Great companies. Great people. Great opportunities. RIGHT HERE AT HOME.

We're proud to have you as part of our Chamber and our community!

💙🫱🏻‍🫲🏼 CHAMPIONING BUSINESS. CONNECTING COMMUNITY. BUILDING OUR FUTURE.

Each year on the 3rd Wednesday of October Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day is celebrated! 🎉

This evening, we were honored to receive a Mayoral Proclamation from Mayor Ray Mabry and the Princeton City Council, officially recognizing Wednesday, October 21st, 2026, as Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day in the City of Princeton! 📜

A heartfelt thank you to Mayor Mabry, our City Council Members, and City Hall for recognizing the important role our Chamber plays in strengthening our local economy, supporting businesses, and enhancing the quality of life in our community. We value our partnership and appreciate your continued support! ♥️

🏛️ DID YOU KNOW?

Chambers of Commerce have a rich history of advocating for business and economic prosperity. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce was established in 1912, following President William Howard Taft's call for a national organization to represent American businesses.

Here in Princeton, our Chamber has been proudly serving our community since 1947 — and NEXT YEAR WE CELEBRATE 80 YEARS! 🥂

For nearly eight decades, our mission has remained rooted in serving our members, promoting the needs of business and industry, and creating the best community in which to live, work, and play! And while our history is something to celebrate, our future is what excites us most! 🌱

We're not simply celebrating nearly 80 years of service — we're building on that legacy! Our Chamber continues to grow, innovate, and lead through economic development, entrepreneurship, workforce development initiatives, community partnerships, and meaningful investments that will shape Princeton and Bureau County for decades to come! 💪🏻

💙 TO OUR 350+ CHAMBER MEMBERS AND GROWING: Thank you for believing in the power of working together, investing in our community, and allowing us to be part of your success!

🙌🏻 TO OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS, AMBASSADORS, AND COUNTLESS VOLUNTEERS: Your time, leadership, passion, and willingness to show up make the work we do possible. We simply could not do it without you!

A Chamber is only as strong as the community standing behind it — and we are incredibly proud of the community standing behind ours. 🥰👍🏻

So, how can YOU celebrate Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day? 🤔

Choose Chamber member businesses. Shop small and support local. Support the entrepreneurs, employers, organizations, and neighbors who invest in the place we all call home. 🤗

Volunteer for a Chamber of Commerce event or simply attend a Chamber event to experience first hand what our organization is about. Purchase a Chamber Gift Card. Become a member yourself. Follow, like, and share our social media. Give a shout-out to the Chamber of Commerce and share how they benefit your community. While you're at it, be sure to use to post on social media. 🗣️

Because when our businesses and organizations thrive, our entire community thrives! 🪴

Here's to honoring our history, celebrating our members, and building an even brighter future for Princeton and Bureau County!🌟

AND ONE MORE THING…

We have a little something up our sleeves for Wednesday! 😉

Let's just say our Board, Ambassadors, and Chamber staff won't be spending the day behind their desks. We'll be out doing what we love most — connecting with the people who make our Chamber and community so special!

A little appreciation. A few surprises. And a whole lot of gratitude. 🫶

🌽🚜 A LITTLE KINDNESS GOES A LONG WAY… ESPECIALLY IN FARM COUNTRY! 🫶🏼

♥️ We love seeing our Chamber members find meaningful ways to give back, and this one is especially close to our hearts!

👏🏼 📣 A big shoutout to new Chamber member Alan Davis - Country Financial and his team for their recent Feed a Farmer Day! Despite the rain, they served an incredible 95 meals to the hardworking men and women who help keep our agricultural community thriving!

🥰 As a farm girl myself, this one hits home.
Agriculture isn't just an industry in Bureau County — it's our heritage, our livelihood, and the backbone of our local economy.

🏡🫱🏻‍🫲🏼 This is what community looks like. Businesses supporting agriculture. Neighbors appreciating neighbors. And a simple meal making a meaningful difference.

🤩 Thank you, Alan and team, for reminding us that sometimes the biggest impact comes from the simplest gestures.

🌱 Rooted in agriculture. Growing through community. Stronger together.
