Grant County Fire Protection District 3 is a municipal corporation of the State of Washington that protects life and property and provides fire protection and emergency medical services to its citizens. This site is intended to serve as a mechanism for communication between the public and the District on the listed topics related to the District’s purpose of providing fire protection services, emergency medical services and protecting life and property. The opinions expressed by visitors to this site do not reflect the opinions of the District. Our Open House events this week were a huge success, and we want to thank everyone who helped make them happen!

A big THANK YOU to all of our firefighters, volunteers, support division, staff, and community partners who put in the time and effort to make these events possible. We also want to thank all the participating agencies and vendors who joined us and helped make the day even more special!

Most importantly, thank you to everyone in our community who stopped by! We loved seeing so many families, meeting new faces, and sharing a little bit of what we do here at Grant County Fire District 3.

We couldn't have done it without everyone's support, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!

Once the battery is fully charged remove from the charger/charging cord. This will prevent over changing which can lead to a fire.

Do you know one of the reasons the cords that come with your phone are so short?

This is to try and prevent you from charging and using the phone at the same time to reduce the chance of fire from overcharging.

Hint, that warm/hot battery you feel while charging and playing with your phone is causing battery damage and could lead to a fire. Only use manufacturer-recommended accessories.

🚒🔥 **The 2026 Columbia River Fire Academy is underway!

On August 31, a new group of recruits began their journey in the fire service with the start of the 2026 Columbia River Fire Academy, hosted by Grant County Fire District 3.

This year’s academy brings together recruits, instructors and resources from Grant County Fire Districts 3, 7, and 8, along with support from the Washington State Fire Training Academy Regional Direct Delivery Program.

Over the coming months, these recruits will be challenged through classroom instruction and hands-on training as they build the skills, teamwork, and confidence needed to serve their communities.

A huge thank you to Deputy State Fire Marshal Brian Oberweiser and the WA State Fire Training Academy RDD Program for their continued partnership and support.

👏 Please join us in wishing our 2026 recruits success as they continue their journey!
